Russia Sets New Meat Production Record in 2024

According to the accounting data, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in agricultural organizations for January-November of this year amounted to 12.5 million tons, an increase of 3.8% compared to last year. In particular, there is an increase in cattle MEAT (+5.6%), pork (+5.1%) and poultry (+2.4%). These results contribute to an increase in production volumes in the meat processing industry.

However, the industry still faces significant challenges, such as worsening credit conditions and a shortage of skilled workers. Attention is also drawn to the possibility of RUSSIA returning to significant dependence on beef imports, given the current downward trends in the country's cattle population.
