In physical terms, shipments of turkey meat to these countries account for almost 75% of total exports.

President of Agrifood Strategies Albert Davleev said that preliminary forecasts for the increase in turkey production are being met. “In 2021, it is planned to reach the indicator of 400 thousand tons due to the launch of new capacities of the Tambovskaya Turkey - about 30 thousand tons in carcass weight, as well as the restart of the Eurodon sites with a production capacity of 35-40 thousand tons. and other companies, for example, the Poultry Complex named after. The executive DIRECTOR of Rincon Management, Konstantin Korneev, said that the wholesale price of a turkey from producers increased slightly compared to last week and amounts to 265-275 rubles. for 1 kg of breast fillet and 300-315 rubles/kg for thigh fillet. “Demand for turkey is now “working”, there is no rush demand, or increased interest associated with the growth potential of counterparties,” he said. In addition, according to him, the export of products of deep processing has now begun, primarily due to the start of the production of sausages at one of the plants of the Damate company - PenzaMolInvest, and the launch of a new line of products under the Salima trademark, which is already being supplied to the countries neighboring countries, in particular to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Shipments to Transcaucasia are also planned. “We expect a number of successful completion of audits of halal products at the leading enterprises of the PenzaMolInvest group, which will allow us to supply products of deep processing to the countries of the Middle East. This is a qualitative leap, a move away from the export of raw materials to value-added products,” Davleev concluded.
