In the first three months of 2023, 5.2 billion doses of vaccines for all animal species were imported into RUSSIA, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR reports. This is a quarter more than in the same period last year, but Rossenlkhoznadzor experts believe that there may be problems with the supply of some drugs. In the message, the Rosselkhoznadzor emphasizes that there are no restrictions on the supply of foreign veterinary drugs - the problems are due to the fact that manufacturers do not listen to Russian safety and quality requirements.
As explained in the department, the safety requirements were approved by Rosselkhoznadzor back in 2017, but not all foreign manufacturers listened to them. At the same time, the requirements established in Russia correspond to the requirements that suppliers of veterinary drugs comply with in the EU and the usa , however, unscrupulous manufacturers want to save money by supplying products that violate the rules to Russia.
First of all, Rosselkhoznadzor points to four companies that, according to the department, adhere to this line - MSD Animal HEALTH, Elanco, Zoetis, Boehringer Ingelheim.
