From January 12, 2022, Rosselkhoznadzor introduced temporary restrictions on the import of animals and livestock products from Kazakhstan as precautionary measures in connection with a suspected worsening of the FMD epizootic situation.
Later, Kazakhstan officially confirmed the outbreak in the Karaganda region.
