Rosselkhozbank sold the agricultural company Loman 2 to the Damate group of companies, which at the end of February sued Vadim Vaneev, the founder of the Eurodon holding, for 33.3 billion rubles.
All three owners of the production complex for the production of turkeys in the Rostov region - Eurodon LLC, Eurodon-South LLC and Ursdon LLC - were declared insolvent (bankrupt) in 2019 and early 2020.
According to the terms of the deal with the Russian Agricultural Bank, the rights of claim on the obligations of Eurodon were transferred to Damate. Last year, Loman 2 LLC bought them out from the main creditor of the bankrupt Rostov holding, the state corporation VEB.RF.
Kirill Levin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Rosselkhozbank, in his commentary on the agreement of the parties noted that the transfer of rights under the obligations of the Eurodon holding to a profile investor contributes to the resumption of turkey production in the Rostov Region, which provides employment for about 2.5 thousand people, and the development of the poultry industry as a whole.
“For Damate, the acquisition of Loman-2 is the completion of a complex deal with Rosselkhozbank and fits into our development strategy,” said Stanislav Varich, vice president of the Penza holding for strategic financing. “The deal allowed us to consolidate our leadership in the turkey market, obtain geographical diversification of the business and enter a new niche segment of duck MEAT.”
The modern technologies available to the Damate group of companies ensure the implementation of a full-cycle production project - from egg incubation to deep processing of turkey heavy meat crosses. The product range included about 170 poultry products, including semi-finished products, sausages and delicacies.
To date, 167 facilities of the turkey processing complex and 61 facilities of the country's largest duck production complex have been restored in the Millerovsky and Oktyabrsky districts of the Rostov region. Rosselkhozbank guarantees additional financing for the Damate group to restore poultry farms and form working capital.
In 2021, Damate plans to produce 41.5 thousand tons of turkey and 15.5 thousand tons of duck in the Rostov region.
According to SPARK-Interfax, Loman 2 LLC was registered in July 2018 in the Krasnoluchsky rural settlement of the Oktyabrsky district of the Rostov region. The main activity of the company is the breeding of poultry.
Initially, 99% of the authorized capital of Loman 2 LLC belonged to the "granddaughter" of the Russian Agricultural Bank - Trading House "Agrotorg Tulsky" LLC. Since January 18, 2921, APK Damate LLC has been listed as a 100% owner of the company, however, the deal between Rosselkhozbank and the Damate group of companies became known only the day before, on March 11, at the suggestion of the Interfax agency.
