A "spa center" for calves was created on the basis of the agricultural complex of LLC "Green Lines - Kaluga" on the "Dobraya" farm. This farm is one of the company's three dairy farms located in an ecologically clean area of the Kaluga region. The MILK produced on these farms has a high content of useful components; it undergoes filtration and the necessary preparation before delivery. Creating a full cycle of work on the farm allows interested producers to receive a high-quality product in the shortest possible time.
Milk from the Dobraya farm has long been the main ingredient in functional food recipes. Therefore, experts enthusiastically supported the construction of a modern calf barn, since the quality of milk primarily depends on the living conditions of the animals on the farm. Caring for calves from the very first days helps them become dairy and highly productive cows in the future.
“Our calf barn meets the standards for keeping growing animals. The abundance of light in the new design increases feed consumption, and the calves quickly gain weight. It is important that precipitation is prevented from getting on the pre-starter feed and bedding material, and the work of the staff is optimized,” said Galina Viktorovna Yablokova, HEAD of the Livestock Department at Green Lines - Kaluga LLC.
The Dobraya farm in the Kaluga region makes a responsible decision to introduce modern technologies for caring for calves in its spa center. These new technologies allow calves to develop in their own microflora, where plenty of light and the absence of drafts protect them from possible diseases. Each calf on the farm receives individual feeding and housing and it is important that each calf receives the required 6-7 liters of milk daily. The air volume on the farm creates conditions close to natural for the best development of calves. The introduction of these modern technologies and the process of raising healthy calves adapted to industrial production is the basis for increasing livestock production in the Kaluga region. The Dobraya Farm's spa can individually house up to 3,000 animals annually.
