“Today, poultry farming is one of the strongest industries for the agro-industrial complex of our region; we have a number of modern and technological large poultry farms. Despite the rise in prices of some foreign veterinary preparations, components of diets, equipment, the industry continues to be investment-attractive, is actively developing and meets the needs of the regional market for poultry products with a significant surplus,” said Evgeny Leshchenko, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Novosibirsk Region.

Agricultural poultry breeding enterprises in the region receive state support: poultry farmers are reimbursed for part of the costs of acquiring breeding young poultry, for concluding livestock insurance contracts. Poultry farms are actively using the opportunities to obtain preferential short-term and investment loans.

Currently, there are seven poultry farms in the region. At the beginning of 2023, the number of poultry in these agricultural enterprises amounted to 8.2 million heads, which is 463 thousand heads more than a year earlier. In 2022, the region produced 1 billion 93 million eggs (140 million eggs more than in 2021). The production of poultry MEAT in the whole region amounted to 81.8 thousand tons, which is 4% less than the level of the previous year.

The largest producer of poultry meat is the Novosibirsk Poultry Farm - 44 thousand tons in 2022, and the highest egg production rates are at the Evsinskaya poultry farms (393 million units) and PRODO Chikskaya (320 million units).

Poultry enterprises of the region are implementing several large investment projects. Thus, the construction and phased commissioning of the capacities of the Ulybino poultry farm continues, the current readiness of the production infrastructure is 98%. The output of the poultry farm to the design capacity, which will allow to produce up to 18 thousand tons of duck meat annually, is scheduled for 2023.

Novosibirsk Poultry Farm is undergoing a large-scale reconstruction of several facilities at once: a grain processing complex with a drying and cleaning tower, a terminal for receiving and processing poultry, administrative buildings, and local treatment facilities are being built.

A major upgrade of production facilities is underway at the Novo-Baryshevskaya poultry farm: poultry houses for the parent flock of chickens have been modernized here for two years, and this work will continue in 2023. A workshop for the production of organic fertilizers was built - innovative for our region. The workshop will annually produce more than 10 thousand tons of high-quality organic fertilizer, both for the poultry farm's own fields and for enterprises engaged in organic farming. Moreover, the products of the poultry farm will soon become organic: now the factory is undergoing a procedure for certifying production for compliance with the national standard.

The minister also noted that by the end of 2022, the Novosibirsk Region ranks 4th among Russian regions in terms of exports of eggs and egg products. Despite the imposition of sanctions by unfriendly states and logistical difficulties, the EXPORT of poultry products from the Novosibirsk Region increased by 2.8 times in 2022. The main buyers are the same: Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan.
