The Oryol region in January-March 2023 produced 86.8 thousand tons of livestock and poultry MEAT for slaughter in live weight, which is 45.5% more than in the same period last year, Orelstat reported.

At the same time, MILK production decreased by 2.9% - to 34.1 thousand tons.

Three-month egg production was 9.7 million eggs (down 1%).

As of April 1, the farms of the region kept 152 thousand heads of cattle (an increase of 12.2%), pigs - 999.1 thousand (an increase of 15.7%), sheep and goats - 48.9 thousand. (decrease by 5.3%), birds - 2.5 million heads (decrease by 2.5%).
