Meat production in the Belgorod region for 9 months decreased by 1.1%, milk - increased by 2.7%

In January-September 2021, livestock breeders of the Belgorod region produced 1.29 million tons of MEAT in live weight, which is 1.1% less than in the same period last year, Belgorodstat reports.

Including pigs for slaughter, 680.5 thousand tons were sold (98.7% compared to January-September last year), poultry - 593.2 thousand tons (99.1%).

MILK production for the reporting period increased by 2.7% - up to 420.8 thousand tons, egg production remained at the same level - 1 million 125.6 thousand pieces.

The number of cattle in the Belgorod region as of October 1, 2021 amounted to 178.8 thousand heads (an increase of 2.2%), pigs - 4.6 million (a decrease of 0.8%), sheep and goats - 7 .9 thousand (decrease by 6.2%), birds - 45.6 million (decrease by 1.2%).
