The HEAD of the National MEAT Association (NMA), Sergei Yushin, denied the news about the upcoming increase in the price of poultry meat in stores. He noted that the ban on the import of mixed feed from Europe will not lead to an increase in price tags for the end consumer.
Sergey Yushin adds that at the moment there are already interruptions in the supply of feed necessary for growing poultry. This is due to a number of factors. Some of the products are not supplied due to restrictions on supplies from manufacturers that did not comply with the requirements of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for quality and safety. A certain volume does not reach the Russian Federation due to logistical problems with CHINA.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rosselkhoznadzor are aware of the current situation. Measures are already being taken to resolve the issue.
-Search is underway for alternative sources of supply of amino acids and vitamins not produced in RUSSIA. Or those for which there is a deficit today, - Yushin noted.
According to the expert, there is every reason to believe that the situation will stabilize in the first half of 2022.
Nevertheless, by the New Year in Russia, prices for a number of goods may rise by 3-7%. First of all, we are talking about food - meat, fish, dairy products, eggs, vegetables and fruits, sweets and ALCOHOL. In addition, prices for the most sought-after gifts - perfumes, cosmetics and jewelry - can jump.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture proposed a number of measures to stabilize the cost of meat. The agency has come up with an initiative to zero import duties on frozen beef and pork.
