As part of the Agrostartup program, another competition was held in the Republic of Crimea, the winners of which had the opportunity to implement their business projects in agriculture. The main goal of the program is to support farmers and develop rural cooperation.
“The winners of the competition plan to grow vegetables indoors and outdoors, fruit and berry crops, purchase a seedling complex, as well as modernize an apiary, a cattle farm and a snail farm,” said Andrey Savchuk, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.
Agrostartups will implement their ideas in six districts of the Republic of Crimea: Kirov, Bakhchisarai, Sovetsky, Simferopol, Krasnoperekopsk and Dzhankoy.
“I would like to note that this direction is quite popular among Crimeans who want to engage in agribusiness. Many have been working in agriculture for many years and now, with the help of our support, they will enlarge their business . The grant funds will help them purchase the necessary machinery, equipment, etc. From 2019 to 2022, 54 private farms received grant support for a total amount of more than 130 million rubles. Last year, almost 19 million rubles were given to 7 grant recipients for these purposes,” said Andrey Savchuk.
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea emphasized that this year more than 30 million rubles have been allocated from the republican budget to support farmers and develop rural cooperation. Agreements were also concluded on the provision of grants in the form of subsidies for 5 years with recipients of subsidies for the implementation of projects for the creation and development of peasant (farm) farms.
All these measures are aimed at developing agriculture and supporting farmers. The implementation of projects within the framework of the Agrostartup program will increase the production of agricultural products and reduce dependence on imports. it also contributes to the creation of new jobs and the development of local agricultural enterprises.
