The government has increased the amount of state support for farmers

it was decided to increase the amount of state support for farmers in 2023, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. This is primarily about grants and subsidies, but the ministry is also considering other useful support measures, the report says.

Thus, the size of the Agrostartup grant was increased for both livestock breeders and crop growers. Livestock breeders will receive different amounts depending on the form of farming: 7 million rubles can be received by farmers engaged in dairy or beef cattle breeding, and 8 million rubles will be received by farmers who are engaged in animal husbandry as part of an agricultural cooperative. The situation is similar in the case of crop growers: 5 million rubles for farmers who grow crops, 6 million rubles if they are members of an agricultural cooperative. At the same time, farmers can grow almost any crop - grain, fruits, vegetables.

Agricultural cooperatives can also receive a payment of up to 20 million rubles from the government to compensate for the costs of purchasing agricultural products from cooperative members and owners of personal subsidiary farms, the department said.

Finally, the department took into consideration the agricultural contract and its terms. Recall that the agricultural contract is concluded between the enterprise and the owner of a personal subsidiary plot. The owner of the PSF undertakes to supply the manufactured products for production at a special price for this enterprise, in response, the enterprise can supply seeds or young livestock so that the PSF can create a crop of the desired size and quality. 

The department is confident that such initiatives will benefit the agricultural industry, increase production volumes, expand the range of products and create new jobs. According to Mikhail Mishustin, the main thing now is not to reduce the number of recipients of state support in order to save money. The official instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to control this issue.
