According to Garra International, the world's three major beef exporters, Brazil, Australia and the United States , are in different situations in terms of production and exports. The company, which operates in more than 60 markets worldwide as an exporter of poultry, beef, lamb and pork, is seeing a good year for Brazilian beef.

The Latin American country is expected to increase the number of cattle by 3% in 2022, and this is due to rising prices for livestock and calves, as well as rising exports of beef.

Australia, hit hard by drought in 2021 and sharply curtailing exports, is rebuilding its cattle herd and boosting exports in 2022. Last year, Australians recorded their lowest shipments in 36 years. This year, the number of cattle is expected to increase by 1.1 million heads and EXPORT growth by 10% compared to last year. However, the country started the year with a strong reduction in supplies. After the omicron variant of covid-19 spread among slaughterhouse workers, Australians reached the lowest export volumes ever recorded in their history in January.

The US has set historical export records for volume and price, but cattle numbers have declined significantly in the past year. As of January 1, 2022, there was a decrease in the number of cattle by 1.88 million heads, which is a decrease of 2% compared to January 1, 2021. The reason for the decline in production was drought in US livestock regions and high prices for calves. Prices for all bovine products are now expected to rise by 8-12% during the year, Garra International announced.
