As a result of this work, based on the materials of the territorial departments of the Service, 18 criminal cases were initiated in the first quarter of 2023. In total, since January 1, 2019, 175 criminal cases have been opened, the largest number of which are in the Central Federal District (53).
One of the most resonant cases since the beginning of 2023 has been the spread of anthrax in Chuvashia, which, through the negligence of a citizen, has become. The suspect did not carry out veterinary preventive measures, did not vaccinate, including against anthrax, and did not provide animals for examination by a veterinarian.
In the Voronezh region, a criminal case has been initiated on the fact of the illegal sale of especially valuable species of fish and seafood. These goods without labeling and veterinary accompanying documents were found at the end of December last year on the territory of one of the wholesale food depots. Products of unknown origin were withdrawn from circulation, an investigation is underway.
An illegal scheme for the supply of dairy products under a state contract for the needs of institutions of the penitentiary system was revealed with the help of the FGIS "Mercury" by inspectors of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR in the Samara region. Goods of unknown origin, made, as shown by laboratory tests, using vegetable fats, were supplied to the Federal Penitentiary Service through a chain of entrepreneurs.
In the Tambov region, criminal proceedings have been opened on the fact of the supply of cheese adulterated with vegetable fats to one of the kindergartens in the region. The products were allegedly manufactured at a phantom site in the Moscow region.
In February 2023, a criminal case was initiated against a manufacturer of dairy products in social institutions of Udmurtia. In samples of cottage cheese, sour cream, butter and MILK, increased bacterial contamination and signs of falsification were found.
The defendants in the criminal case in Primorye were three enterprises that illegally put into circulation large batches of fish products - crabs, cod, pike perch, coho, salmon, salmon caviar in the total volume exceeding 580 tons of unknown origin and did not undergo veterinary and sanitary examination. Two companies basically had no production facilities.
Investigative actions on the fact of black caviar smuggling continue in the Omsk region. A strategically important product, the market value of which exceeds 16 million rubles, was tried to be illegally exported to Kazakhstan. The carrier did not have shipping and veterinary documents, and the caviar was carefully hidden among the packages with fish products.
