The Volga Federal District traditionally ranks second, after the Central, in terms of live weight of livestock and poultry produced for slaughter.
This year, the leader of the Volga region in this indicator was the Penza region.
According to the state statistics service of the Penza region, the number of cattle amounted to about 147.6 thousand heads (as of 10/1/21), and this figure has decreased over the past month, and if compared with the same indicator last year, it has decreased even more more significantly. Therefore, the potential for development and increase in the number of cattle exists.

The production technologies at the new plant are characterized by a high degree of automation and robotization of processes, which makes it possible to ensure high quality and a wide range of products.
Also, four new agricultural projects are planned for implementation in the region to create farms and an irrigation system using wastewater from livestock complexes.
The introduction of modern technologies in the production of agricultural products allows the Penza region to be among the leaders in the production of meat in the Volga region.
