The Arbitration COURT of the Samara Region ordered the regional department of veterinary medicine to pay compensation for damage from the liquidation of the pig population in the amount of 186.5 million rubles to Severny Klyuch JSC.
An outbreak of African swine fever on the farm of the Severny Klyuch agricultural holding in the village of Savrukha, Pokhvistnevsky district, Samara region, occurred at the end of October 2020 against the backdrop of an ASF emergency in 17 municipalities.
When carrying out sanitary and preventive measures, the entire livestock was destroyed - more than 33 thousand pigs. The herd was insured with state support in the insurance company "Consent". Last year, Severny Klyuch JSC tried to recover compensation for losses from her, but the court ruled that the regional department of veterinary medicine was obliged to pay the money.
The corresponding decision was made at a meeting on April 14, 2022 and published on Tuesday in the filing cabinet of arbitration cases.
