The main part of this volume of insurance premium - more than 71% - was received by NSA companies under crop production risk insurance contracts. This segment exceeded 4.3 billion rubles, which is 17% more than a year earlier (about 3.6 billion rubles). Of these, about 3.4 billion rubles were received under multi-risk insurance contracts and almost 0.9 billion rubles - under the emergency insurance program introduced last year (in the first half of 2022 - 3.0 billion and 0.6 billion, respectively ).

The segment of subsidized animal insurance reached 1.7 billion rubles, its growth compared to the same period in 2022 (1.3 billion rubles) was 28%.

In the third sectoral area in the system of agricultural insurance with state support - insurance of commercial aquaculture, the volume of the premium for the first half of the year amounted to 18 million rubles.

“The main factor in the growth of premiums in subsidized agricultural insurance in the first half of 2023 was a significant expansion of the insurance field,” said NAIA President Korney Bizhdov. - Thus, the insured area of ​​crops increased by more than 1.5 times. The client base is also expanding. Including livestock insurance: the total portfolio of contracts of NSA companies in this area increased by a quarter compared to the same period last year. According to Federal Law N 260-F3 “On State Support in the Sphere of Agricultural Insurance”, in RUSSIA, state support

is provided within the framework of a centralized systeminsurance of risks of plant growing, animal husbandry and commercial aquaculture. Only insurance companies that are members of a single all-Russian association, the National Union of Agricultural Insurers, have the right to conclude insurance contracts with state support. Insurance is carried out on the basis of uniform standard rules for each insurance program provided for in the agricultural insurance system.
