Nizhny Novgorod: E. coli found in beef from a Mari supplier

Specialists of the regional reference center of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR found E. coli in beef from the Republic of Mari El.

Pathogenic microorganisms from this group were identified during bacteriological examination of three samples of MEAT from the Mari supplier. The samples were taken during the state monitoring of the quality and safety of regulated products in Nizhny Novgorod stores.

The presence of E. coli may indicate contamination of raw materials or a violation of sanitary and hygienic standards during transportation and storage of meat, according to a press release from Rosselkhoznadzor. Dangerous to HEALTH beef was withdrawn from trade.
