The Scientific Testing Center (STC) of the Cherkizovo Group, the largest producer of MEAT products, was recognized as the best laboratory in RUSSIA and was awarded the highest award of the Silver Moth competition.
The Association of Analytical Centers (AAC) "Analytics" at the annual meeting summed up the results of the competition for the best Russian laboratory in 2021. Based on the results of the voting, members of an independent jury chose the winner - Cherkizovo Research Center, an innovative European-level laboratory complex for food research.
SIC became the first private agricultural laboratory in the history of the competition to receive the highest award - the Silver Moth prize - which is awarded for special achievements in the field of analytical control. The prize is a cube of pure silver weighing 107.87 grams (corresponding to 1 mole of silver).

He recalled that in 2021, the SIC confirmed its technical competence in two accreditation systems at once - in the Federal Accreditation Service (Rosakkreditatsiya) and in the non-state Association of Analytical Centers "Analytika".
The Association of Analytical Centers "Analitika" was established in 1991 and currently unites more than 300 laboratories from different countries. The Association conducts accreditation of analytical laboratories as an independent non-governmental body. The honorary award "Silver Moth" was established by the association in 2002 and is awarded annually to one of the accredited laboratories. The finalists must go through several qualifying rounds: experts evaluate the technical equipment of laboratories, the qualifications of personnel, the management system, the quality of analyzes performed, internal and external control.
NRC Cherkizovo started its work in 2016, investments in its creation amounted to 10 million euros. The Center conducts tests on more than 500 indicators, including 27 exclusive indicators. In 2021, the center's specialists conducted 372,000 tests, including the most complex laboratory studies on various types of agricultural activities.
