According to the results of 2023, the total EXPORT of agricultural products from RUSSIA amounted to $43.5 billion, which is 4.3% more than in the previous year.
The top 10 regions accounted for 67.9% of all-Russian exports ($29.6 billion, 4.3% compared to 2022). They included regions with export revenues of over $800 million: Rostov Region , Moscow , Krasnodar Region (the top three have remained unchanged over the past five years), Primorsky Region, Moscow Region, Kaliningrad Region, Belgorod Region, Kamchatka Region, Lipetsk Region, and Murmansk Region.
The total volume of exports of agricultural products of the Russian Federation by the end of 2023 amounted to more than 43.5 billion US dollars (+4.3% compared to the 2022 level).
Agricultural exports in 2023 were carried out to more than 150 countries.
CHINA came out on top among the leading importers of Russian agricultural products at the end of the year ($7.6 billion), with Turkey taking second place ($5.0 billion). They are followed by Kazakhstan ($3.3 billion), Belarus ($2.8 billion), and Egypt ($2.5 billion).
The largest share in the value volume at the end of 2023 is traditionally occupied by grain exports - 37.4%. Next come oil and fat products (19.5%) and other agricultural products (15.0%).fish and seafood (12.5%), food and processing industry products (11.5%), MEAT and dairy products (4.2%).
Compared to 2022, the highest growth in export revenue is observed for grain products (+21.6% y/y), other agricultural products (+6.2% y/y). The highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of exports in the period from 2019 to 2023 was demonstrated by oil and fat products (+20.1%), in second place was the meat and dairy industry (+19.8%), and the grain industry also showed significant growth (+19.7%).
Among the products that showed the greatest growth in supplies in the period 2019-2023, we can highlight such products as beef (6.5 times), whey (3.8 times), legumes (3.7 times), buckwheat and millet (3.5 times), and rapeseed oil (3.1 times).
