Representatives of the National Union of Poultry Breeders appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation with a demand to ban the EXPORT of feed wheat and corn, which are the main type of feed at poultry breeding enterprises, from the country.

According to Interfax, in addition, poultry farmers propose to introduce a ban on the export of a number of other products and equipment necessary for the stable development of the industry. These are sunflower and soybean meal, premixes, amino acids, vitamins for feed production.

Poultry industry workers also call on the ministry to ban the export of hatching eggs, packages and containers for eggs, veterinary drugs, incubation equipment, devices for growing, slaughtering and processing poultry, components and consumables for such equipment.

The appeal received at the disposal of the department says that a ban on the export of such goods should be imposed on all states, including the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which, in addition to the Russian Federation, includes Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.

Poultry growers express concern that in the absence of such restrictions in the country, the cost of production will rapidly increase, which will ultimately affect the wallets of consumers. Since now chicken remains the most cost-effective type of animal protein for Russians.
