On Tuesday, June 29, information was received from the Kaliningrad Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations about the second fire in a month at the Miratorg plant.

Unlike the fire of the second category of complexity on June 19, this time the rank of force majeure has been reduced to the minimum. The fire occurred at the same place, but the area is measured in tens of square meters. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. Fire crews immediately arrived at the scene.

Earlier, a fire at the site of the Miratorg ABH plant occurred in June 2010. The losses, which amounted to 3 billion rubles, were compensated by the Military Insurance Company.

The Miratorg Zapad LLC plant is designed to produce 80,000 tons of products per year. The assortment of this enterprise includes frozen semi-finished products and ready meals - a total of more than 200 items. The holding's investments in the project amounted to 6 billion rubles.

In December 2020, ABH Miratorg, the government of the Kaliningrad region and the federal executive power entered into agreements on the protection and encouragement of capital investments under the project for expanding the production of frozen semi-finished MEAT products. The expansion of production will ensure the production of another 71 thousand tons of finished products per year. The amount of investment is estimated at 4.9 billion rubles.
