The Russian government published a decree in which it decided to allocate 1 billion additional funds for the purchase of veterinary drugs. The document was personally signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the document was published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The text of the document indicates that additional funds have been allocated to combat dangerous animal diseases and to maintain a favorable epizootic situation. Now the total amount allocated for these activities from the federal budget, reserved for the needs of agriculture and fisheries, will amount to 3.7 billion rubles. The document notes that a significant part of these funds will be directed to veterinary departments for the purchase of vaccines for farm animals. Thus, the government hopes to prevent outbreaks of dangerous diseases among animals that threaten the country's agriculture and food security.

Recall that active work is underway in RUSSIA to develop vaccines for animals and poultry. So, over the past year, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR has developed 10 new vaccines for farm animals, poultry, as well as domestic cats and dogs - these vaccines will be registered in 2023, among them, for example, a vaccine against mastitis in cattle - there was no analogue of such a vaccine in Russia before , and it was created on the basis of strains of the disease specific for Russia, which increases its effectiveness.
