20,000 Sakhalin cows will be released into the meadows. Agricultural enterprises and peasant farms will send more than 12,000 dairy and over 7,000 MEAT herds to pastures.

In the region, the transfer of livestock to summer grazing traditionally begins in the last ten days of May and ends in the first ten days of June.

As noted in the Ministry of Agriculture and Trade of the Sakhalin Region, grazing has a very positive effect on the animals. As a result, MILK yields increase. Department specialists monitor the preparation of enterprises for the summer-pasture period.

In order not to reduce the milk supply from enterprises, the farms pay special attention to preparing areas for grazing, equipping summer camps and milking grounds, organizing a watering place, and the availability of mixed fodder.
