Veterinary and Life, citing data from the Federal State Statistics Service, reports that in the 14th week of 2022 (April 2-8), boiled sausages and broiler MEAT in RUSSIA rose by an average of 1.6%.

Since the beginning of this year, the average consumer price of chicken has increased by 3.12%, and that of boiled sausages by 5.65%.  

Sausages and sausages have risen in price by 0.8% over the week and by 5.56% since the beginning of the year, canned meat for baby food - by 1.4% and 10.3%, respectively.

The average beef price increased by 0.5% last week, and by 10.86% since the beginning of the year. Lamb has risen in price by 0.5% for the week and by 5.2% since January 1, 2022. The price of pork increased by 0.2% and 3.47% respectively. 

According to Rosstat, for the week from April 2 to April 8, consumer prices in Russia as a whole increased by 0.66%. Compared to March, inflation slowed down, but since the beginning of the year, the consumer price index has risen to 10.8%. For comparison: in April 2021, inflation since the beginning of the year was 2.72%.

The Ministry of Economic Development on the 14th week of this year recorded an acceleration of annual inflation in Russia to 17.49%. Food inflation as of April 8, 2022 was 19.1%.
