The decline in investment is due to high interest rates, which make projects economically unprofitable, which has had a negative impact on the profitability of beef cattle breeding. The current Central Bank rate of 20% is considered excessively high. In this regard, Miratorg has decided against increasing the Aberdeen Angus herd to one million heads, since at the beginning of the year the herd had already declined - from 545 thousand heads to 767 thousand last year.

In addition, five farms were closed in the Bryansk region, near the front, as keeping breeding bulls became unprofitable. The importance of structural reforms in the industry sounded like a necessity so that market regulators could better understand the economic component of projects. Linnik also noted that new ideas, in his opinion, could lead to an increase in the cost of production.
