Ministry of Agriculture: Wintering of cattle and horses in Yakutia is proceeding satisfactorily

The number of horses in all categories of farms of the republic is 181,354, including 121,779 mares. 50,512 horses were supplied for feeding, which is 27.9% of the total number of horses in all categories of farms of the republic.

In total, 443.1 thousand tons of feed were allocated for the wintering of livestock and horses for 2022-2023, including 397.7 thousand tons of roughage, 28.5 thousand tons of silage and 16.9 thousand tons of haylage.

According to the operational data of the uluses, as of February 22, the stocks of roughage in the region amount to 198.2 thousand tons, silage 17.1 thousand tons, haylage 7.8 thousand tons.
