If the diagnosis is confirmed, the farm will be quarantined for at least 14 days. The new regulations also outline the measures required when the infection is detected. Experts noted that swine erysipelas causes economic damage from reduced productivity, death of animals and reduction in offspring, and products from recovered pigs may be considered of poor quality due to skin damage. Earlier, it was reported that RUSSIA was able to increase pork exports despite reduced supplies in some markets.
