The laboratory also received samples resulting from pig and poultry operations. The tests were carried out in accordance with the Russian Government Resolution approving the requirements for handling livestock by-products dated October 31, 2022. All samples were tested for the content of six hazardous organochlorine pesticides, which must be within the standard of no more than 0.1 mg/kg, as well as for residual amounts of pesticides and toxic elements such as cadmium, arsenic, lead and mercury. As part of additional requests, specialists also determined the mass fractions of total nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, organic matter, and acidity in the PPZh samples.
