The reconstruction of the Kavkaz-meat processing plant in Karachay-Cherkessia, which is being carried out as part of the investment project of the agro-industrial holding Damate, will be completed this autumn. The HEAD of the region, Rashid Temrezov, wrote about this on Monday in his TELEGRAM channel.
“Already this autumn, a new production of high-quality environmentally friendly lamb will be launched in Cherkessk. And this means: new jobs (at least 450 new jobs), support for farms, an increase in agricultural production, which will allow us to compete with other regions of the country for the title of leader in the production of mutton in the Russian Federation, and as a result, increased food security country,” wrote Temrezov.
He added that despite the sanctions policy towards RUSSIA, the project of Damate Group of Companies to modernize the MEAT processing plant is being implemented on time and in compliance with all technological requirements. A large amount of work has been done at the plant, the installation of equipment has begun.
Work on the reconstruction of the Kavkaz-myaso plant in Cherkessk began in September 2020. As part of the investment project of the Damate holding, it is planned to modernize the capacity of the meat processing plant. The processing capacity will be 42 tons of products per day, or 12.6 thousand tons per year. The plant will produce natural semi-finished products from lamb meat, minced meat and canned products, which will be certified according to Halal and Kosher standards.
Earlier, Minister of Agriculture of the KChR Anzor Botashev told TASS that by 2024 the number of sheep and goats in Karachay-Cherkessia, thanks to the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Sheep and Goat Breeding of the Republic for 2020-2025, will increase to 1.3 million heads.
