The press service of Abi, the leader of the domestic market in the production of convenient and easy-to-cook MEAT products, reported that in 2020 the company significantly increased its output and strengthened its position in all categories of presence.

Abi's total sales increased by 24% last year to 297,000 tons. According to the audited consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, the company's revenue amounted to 45.5 billion rubles, which is 22% higher than in 2019.

Monitoring of the GfK consumer panel (GFK-Rus LLC) showed that, compared to 2019, last year, an increase of 3.4% was recorded in the category "sausages and frankfurter products", in the category "frozen semi-finished products" - 2.1% , in the category "frozen fully prepared products" - 8%.

The dynamics reflects the change in consumer behavior trends in 2020 against the backdrop of the covid-19 pandemic . For most of the year, Russians were forced to stay at home. Many of them have switched to a remote mode of work or study. All this led to the need to cook food for yourself and your loved ones more often and more than in previous periods. As a result, there has been an increased demand for products that not only have great taste, but also some additional benefits: ease of use, ease of preparation and variety to expand the home diet.

Due to a balanced portfolio of consumer brands with positions targeted at customers with different taste preferences, federal distribution coverage and comprehensive media support, Abi significantly strengthened its position in the meat processing industry in 2020.

For the second year in a row, Abi retains the status of the leader of the Russian market in terms of sales. The press service clarifies that in the category "sausages and sausage products" the share of Abi increased by 2.2 percentage points - up to 10.2%, in the category "frozen semi-finished products" - up to 9.1% (+1 p.p.) , in the category "frozen fully prepared foods" - 15.8% (+1.2 p.p.). In terms of growth rates in 2020, Abi significantly outpaced the market dynamics in all categories of presence: 32.4%, 15.5% and 17.7%, respectively.

General DIRECTOR of Abi Tatiana Trifonova, among the priorities of the company as the leader of the domestic market, named the stable provision of food products to the population throughout RUSSIA, the creation of new jobs and the preservation of an active investment policy. She stressed that in 2020 the company increased its output by a quarter and achieved a significant increase in all categories of presence. According to the manager, such an obvious success is based on the consistently high quality of Abi products, the professionalism of the employees and the well-coordinated work of the team.

In 2021, Abi continues to open new vacancies, paying great attention to the HEALTH of staff. Management takes all necessary measures to create a safe working environment.

The Abi team does not intend to stop at last year's achievements: production continues to grow. The results of 2020 have shown that sausages, frozen semi-finished products and ready-made products remain truly popular food products, Tatyana Trifonova believes. Their demand remains even in the most difficult times.
