Together with the United Grain Company and Rosmorport, he plans to develop infrastructure for organizing the transshipment of grain cargo in Russian seaports. As part of the project, it is planned to build a new pier in the port of Novorossiysk, which will allow receiving Panamax-class vessels, a grain gallery and a complex of auxiliary and infrastructure facilities, as well as deepening the bottom. Work on the project is planned to be carried out on a parity basis. It was stated that the construction of a new pier will solve the problem of forming a commodity-distributing EXPORT infrastructure, and the modernization of the terminal will double the total transshipment capacity from the current 13.6 million tons to about 25 million tons by 2025. The one-time storage capacity will increase from 370 thousand tons to 870 thousand tons.
Demetra-Holding also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Hassad Food, Qatar's investment arm in the field of agriculture. The companies will consider business opportunities in the Middle East region, with a particular focus on the use of Russian technology and innovative solutions for agribusiness infrastructure projects. Vitaly Sergeychuk, General DIRECTOR of Demetra-Holding, noted that Qatar is one of the key markets for grain sales. “The annual import of wheat to Qatar is about 200 thousand tons, and more than a third of this volume was supplied by Russian exporters at the end of the last season. Together with PhosAgro, Demetra-Holding plans to develop the transportation of mineral fertilizers by hopper cars of the RTK railway holding (part of Demetra-Holding), as well as new transport services. The main project is expected to start operating this summer. By 2023, the ROTA group of companies will build a food production complex in the Leninsky urban district of the Moscow region. The project will be implemented in several stages, at the first stage a plant for the production of cheese and dairy products will be built. The design capacity will be up to 100 tons of milk processing per shift. The enterprise will produce up to 2 tons of semi-hard and hard cheeses, 3 tons of soft cheeses, more than 15 tons of cottage cheese, yogurt, cream and butter per day, and an ice cream line is also planned. The volume of declared investments is 3 billion rubles.
