Companies in the agricultural sector are actively concluding agreements at SPIEF-2021

During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a number of agreements were signed in the field of the agro-industrial complex.

So, several new projects were announced by Demetra-Holding, created by VTB. Together with the United Grain Company and Rosmorport, he plans to develop infrastructure for organizing the transshipment of grain cargo in Russian seaports. As part of the project, it is planned to build a new pier in the port of Novorossiysk, which will allow receiving Panamax-class vessels, a grain gallery and a complex of auxiliary and infrastructure facilities, as well as deepening the bottom. Work on the project is planned to be carried out on a parity basis. It was stated that the construction of a new pier will solve the problem of forming a commodity-distributing EXPORT infrastructure, and the modernization of the terminal will double the total transshipment capacity from the current 13.6 million tons to about 25 million tons by 2025. The one-time storage capacity will increase from 370 thousand tons to 870 thousand tons.

Demetra-Holding also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Hassad Food, Qatar's investment arm in the field of agriculture. The companies will consider business opportunities in the Middle East region, with a particular focus on the use of Russian technology and innovative solutions for agribusiness infrastructure projects. Vitaly Sergeychuk, General DIRECTOR of Demetra-Holding, noted that Qatar is one of the key markets for grain sales. “The annual import of wheat to Qatar is about 200 thousand tons, and more than a third of this volume was supplied by Russian exporters at the end of the last season. Demetra-Holding companies have been cooperating with Qatar for seven years, we see great potential in our future partnership,” Sergeychuk said.

Together with PhosAgro, Demetra-Holding plans to develop the transportation of mineral fertilizers by hopper cars of the RTK railway holding (part of Demetra-Holding), as well as new transport services. This will make it possible to more effectively plan the loading of rolling stock, optimize logistics routes and reduce the cost of delivering mineral fertilizers for farmers. The main project is expected to start operating this summer. Its core is an electronic trading platform, which, in a one-stop shop, will provide both the purchase of mineral fertilizers, and in the future seeds, plant protection products, agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as the sale of crops, and farmers will also be able to receive various financial services. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the turnover of mineral fertilizers during the first year can be about 40 thousand tons,

Cherkizovo Group, the country's largest MEAT producer, according to the Agroinvestor rating, announced plans to invest over 56 billion rubles. in projects in the Tula region. Including 48 billion of them will go to the construction of the country's largest meat processing cluster. President Vladimir Putin announced the signing of the relevant agreement at SPIEF . The agreement was signed by CEO of Cherkizov Sergey Mikhailov, Governor of the Tula Region Alexei Dyumin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprombank Alexei Matveev.

Also, the company and the regional government signed an investment agreement on the construction in 2023-2025 of a plant for slaughter, primary and subsequent processing of broilers worth 8.4 billion rubles. “In the coming years, the Cherkizovo Group intends to significantly increase the output of meat products. This will be largely due to new projects in the Tula region, which can become one of the backbone regions for the company's business,” said Mikhailov (quoted from the company's press release). 

Miratorg implements projects in the field of breeding and genetics of farm animals in the Bryansk region. The corresponding memorandum of cooperation was signed by the company with the government of the Moscow and Bryansk regions, as well as with Innopraktika. Investments in the project will amount to more than 20 billion rubles.

In addition, Miratorg will invest 1.9 billion rubles. in biosafety of the Belgorod region. The cooperation agreement was signed by the acting governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, and the president of the holding, Viktor Linnik. According to Gladkov, the central direction of the agreements will be the implementation of a project to improve the conditions for keeping farm animals and increase the level of biosecurity at the company's operating sites. It is also planned to create a center for the export of pig products on the basis of the Korochan branch of the agricultural holding.

The agreement on the implementation of the second stage of the project for the construction of an oil extraction plant in the Kursk region was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Rosselkhozbank Boris Listov, Director of the Sodruzhestvo Management Company Alexander Shenderyuk-Zhidkov and Governor of the Kursk Region Roman Starovoit. It provides for the construction of a plant for processing oilseeds with a capacity of 890 thousand tons of raw materials per year. The cost of the project is more than 10 billion rubles, of which 8 billion rubles. will be the investments of Rosselkhozbank. The plant is scheduled to be put into operation in 2022.

Sergey Voskresensky, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region, and Zafar Azimov, a shareholder of Infaprim, signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of a project for the reconstruction of a plant for the production of dry adapted MILK formulas and dry milk base in Istra, Moscow Region. The volume of production will be 16.6 thousand tons of breast milk substitutes per year. The planned volume of investments is 3.8 billion rubles. Voskresensky noted that construction should be completed in 2023. According to Izimov, the modernization will triple the capacity, which will largely solve the problem of Russia's dependence on imports of breast milk substitute and will increase its export supplies.

Chistaya Liniya will build a milk processing plant in Dolgoprudny near Moscow. The corresponding agreement was signed at SPIEF by Sergey Voskresensky, HEAD of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and Armen Beniaminov, vice president of the company. The processing capacity of the enterprise will be 500 tons of milk per day. The volume of investments is 3.2 billion rubles. The company plans to produce ice cream, yogurt, processed cheese and other dairy products. The start of construction is scheduled for the third quarter of 2021, it is planned to be completed at the end of 2022.

By 2023, the ROTA group of companies will build a food production complex in the Leninsky urban district of the Moscow region. The project will be implemented in several stages, at the first stage a plant for the production of cheese and dairy products will be built. The design capacity will be up to 100 tons of milk processing per shift. The enterprise will produce up to 2 tons of semi-hard and hard cheeses, 3 tons of soft cheeses, more than 15 tons of cottage cheese, yogurt, cream and butter per day, and an ice cream line is also planned. The volume of declared investments is 3 billion rubles.

Another agreement with the government of the Moscow region was concluded by the Greenfields-Agro company. She plans to grow blackberries, raspberries and strawberries in Naro-Fominsk. Investments in the project will amount to 1 billion rubles.
