“In terms of numbers, from 2019 to 2022, we issued 94 Agrostartup grants worth almost 300 million rubles to the residents of Karelia. The result was not only the creation of more than 90 new farms, but also about 140 permanent jobs in the countryside, - said the HEAD of the Republic of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov.

The Agrostartup grant is one of the most popular support measures for starting a business in the countryside. it is provided under the national project "SMEs and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives". The 3 billion rubles planned in the country's budget will make it possible to issue grants to more than 850 start-up rural entrepreneurs.
Grants will provide up to 90% of the cost of projects. Funds can be used to purchase a land plot, farm animals, machinery and equipment, planting material for perennial plantations, as well as the development of project documentation and other purposes. Applications are accepted by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic. Applications can be submitted by April 14th.
