Which cross of laying hens is popular with Russian poultry farmers

The poultry enterprise of the Vologda District has confirmed the status of a breeding reproducer of the 1st order.

Since 1974, SHPK "Plemptitsa-Mozhayskoye" has been the only pedigree reproducer of the 1st order in the North-West of RUSSIA for the production of eggs and daily young of hens of egg breeds. For more than 40 years, the enterprise has been working with various crosses of poultry for egg production: Belarus-9, P-46, Lohmann-Brown, Rhodonite, constantly increasing production efficiency.

From 2000 to the present, Mozhayskoye has been specializing in the production of breeding eggs and day old chicks of the Dutch egg cross "Hisex Brown". This Laying Cross is one of the most sought-after crosses of the egg direction, is one of the best in terms of productivity, safety, egg weight and feed conversion.

On May 29, the enterprise again confirmed the status of a breeding reproducer of the 1st order. A breeding poultry reproducer of the 1st order is an enterprise that produces parental forms from the grandparent flock.

As of January 1, the number of poultry in the Plemptitsa-Mozhayskoye agricultural production complex amounted to 200 thousand heads, 55 million eggs were produced last year. 

Egg production per average annual laying hen was 336.3 eggs (an indicator for 5 years increased by 3.8%). 

For breeding purposes, almost 26 million eggs were used, which is 39% higher than the requirements for the number of breeding poultry for the reproducer of the 1st order. The safety of young animals was 98.8%, of the adult poultry - 96.1%.

SHPK "Plemptitsa-Mozhayskoye" annually increases the sale of breeding products (hatching eggs , daily young, reared young birds). In addition, over the past 5 years, the company has been raising and selling replacement young stock for peasant (farm) farms.

The successful operation of the enterprise is determined by the balanced feeding of breeding birds. To do this, the reproducer has its own feed mill, where advanced feed production technology has been introduced.

Food products have the exclusive right to use the trademark "Real Vologda Product", - said the HEAD of the Department of Agriculture and Food Resources of the region Sergey Poromonov. - For many years, the company has had high rates of productivity and safety of poultry, is the annual winner of the All-Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn", where it wins gold medals for the development of breeding poultry."

SHPK "Plemptitsa-Mozhayskoye" is included in the federal register "All-Russian Book of Honor 2022".
