Changes to farm animal insurance rules to come into force in 2025

Among the main changes is the possibility of insuring against losses related to the removal of livestock by decision of state bodies, as well as compensation in the event of the death of animals due to floods. Also, for the first time, a zoosanitary status is being introduced for all types of farm animals, which will improve insurance conditions. At the moment, the level of coverage by agricultural insurance in Russian pig farming is close to 70%, and the number of insured birds reaches almost 305 million.
