Study reveals where chicken, pork, fish and beef are preferred around the world

A consumption map based on data from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization showed that RUSSIA leads the world in chicken consumption. Chicken is also a popular choice in Georgia, Turkey and the United Kingdom .

At the same time, pork is most in demand in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Belarus, the Baltic countries, Cyprus, Greece and Poland. Beef is especially popular only in Armenia, andFish is most highly valued in Scandinavian countries, as well as Portugal and Iceland. The analysis showed that preferences in choosing MEAT may also depend on the culinary traditions of the region, experts emphasize.
