Jordan lifted restrictions on the import of Ukrainian chicken

Jordan lifted restrictions on the import of poultry products from Ukraine. This was reported by the State Food and Consumer Service.

“Avian influenza has been a real problem in Europe in recent years. She did not bypass Ukraine either. The reason is a migratory bird. The last case of the disease we had in February of this year. And today Ukraine meets international requirements as a country free from infection with influenza viruses in poultry,” said Vladislava Magaletska, HEAD of the State Food and Consumer Service.

Earlier, Ukraine restored the status of a country free from highly pathogenic avian influenza in accordance with the Terrestrial Animal HEALTH Code of the International Epizootic Bureau.

Recall that in January-May 2021, Ukraine exported 177.37 thousand tons of MEAT and edible offal of poultry, which is almost at the level of the indicator for the same period in 2020 (175 thousand tons).
