For the period from April 30 to May 6, 2022, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of 405 foci of especially dangerous animal diseases from 21 countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.

An outbreak of Newcastle disease was registered in Colombia (2 outbreaks). Previously, the disease in the country was noted in 2019. Highly pathogenic avian influenza has been identified in poultry in Iceland (1). The infection in the livestock of poultry has not been previously recorded.

Bulgaria (7), Great Britain (1), Hungary (36), Israel (1), Spain (3), CANADA (16), Lithuania (2), Nigeria (2), Netherlands ( 7), Poland (3), usa (30), Finland (1), France (176). The disease was registered among wild and farm birds, in most cases the H5N1 avian influenza subtype was determined, as well as H5N8 in wild birds in Israel. In Bulgaria, the highly pathogenic avian influenza virus has not been typed.

The foci of African swine fever were noted in Hungary (26), Germany (28), Italy (4), Latvia (5), Romania (21). A new outbreak of classical swine fever on a farm was reported by Japanese official sources (1).

In Israel, new foci of Newcastle disease (12) and foot-and-mouth disease (20) continue to be registered. Foot-and-mouth disease was noted in the number of pigs, cattle and small cattle.

In Kazakhstan (1) anthrax has been found in a horse.
