For the period from 3 to 9 July 2021, the OIE received reports of the registration of 114 outbreaks of especially dangerous animal diseases in 24 countries of the world.

An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease caused by type O virus (5 foci) was registered in Mongolia, the disease has not been registered in the country since 2018. Foot-and-mouth disease virus type SAT-2 has been notified by the veterinary services of South Africa (6). Foot and mouth disease has also been identified in Namibia (1). An outbreak of infectious nodular dermatitis was registered in Laos (9 foci). Previously, the disease was not registered in the country. Infectious nodular dermatitis has also been identified in Cambodia (2).

New foci of African swine fever have been recorded in Hungary (19), Latvia (1) and Romania (5 foci).

Outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza subtypes H5, H5N1, H5N6 and H5N8 notified in Vietnam (9), Denmark (1), the Netherlands (2), Norway (4), Finland (1), Sweden (7), Nigeria (4) and South Africa (3). The disease has been noted among agricultural birds and wild birds.

Classical swine fever has been notified by Brazil (1) and Japan (18 outbreaks).

Contagious equine metritis has been reported in the UK. In Cuba (4) - hemorrhagic disease of rabbits. CORONAVIRUS infection in animals has been reported from Spain (1). The disease has been registered in fur-bearing animals. Myiasis caused by the American tropical blowfly (Cochliomyia hominivorax) has been reported in Panama (1). On the territory of Belgium (1) tuberculosis of cattle. In Armenia (7 foci) - anthrax.
