In Australia, US pork exports paint a different picture, showing significant growth. Exports more than quadrupled in January compared to the same period last year, with volumes up an impressive 374%. This growth in exports contributed to a significant increase in EXPORT value, which rose 363% to $32.8 million. Notably, US pork has also managed to regain EU market share in Australia.

These developments highlight the dynamic nature of the global pork trade, where market conditions, currency fluctuations and regional preferences shape the competitive landscape. As U.S. exporters address these challenges, they continue to adapt strategies to maintain and expand their presence in these critical markets.
