This initiative is being implemented for the second year in a row and is aimed at supporting small agricultural production and self-employment in rural areas. Contestants need to invest only 5% of their own funds, while the regional budget compensates 95% of the costs. Starting this year, the list of areas for which the grant can be used has been expanded; now money can be used not only for vegetable and potato growing, but also for breeding goats, sheep, poultry and bees, as well as for the purchase of small-sized agricultural machinery and equipment.

When selecting applications, not only the participants' knowledge of the factors for successful project implementation is taken into account, but also their ability to organize product sales and participation in agricultural cooperation. The responsibilities of grant recipients include running a personal subsidiary farm for at least two years and using support funds within nine months of receiving them, as well as an annual increase in the volume of products sold. Last year, 12 farmstead owners from different areas of the region received grants.
