ASF virus genetic material found in Atyashevo TM sausages

The city administration of Alatyr (Chuvashia) published official information on the detection of the genetic material of the African swine fever virus in sausages of the Novocheboksarsk manufacturer Privolzhskiye Kolbasy and the Atyashevsky MEAT processing complex (Atyashevo village, Mordovia).

Infected sausages of MPK Atyashevsky LLC were shipped to counterparties on October 25, and sausages with DNA of the African swine fever virus TM Privolzhskiye Sausages were shipped on October 26. The management of economic entities is warned against purchasing goods from these batches of products.

The press service of the Bashkir department of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR informed retailers that half-smoked sausage "Slavyanskaya" MPK "Atyashevsky" in packaging of 350 grams could get into the stores of Ufa. A large batch has already been withdrawn from Lenta hypermarkets and sent for recycling.

Last week it became known that a total of 786 kilograms of products under the trademarks "Privolzhskie kolbasy" and "Atyashevo" were destroyed in several cities of Tatarstan .

The State Veterinary Service has already completed an inspection of the Privolzhskiye Kolbasy meat processing plant, during which it turned out that the Belkoton A96 emulsifier purchased in the Moscow Region became the source of infection . At MPK Atyashevsky LLC of the Talina group of companies, the infected sausages were completely withdrawn from warehouses and sent for burning.
