France is concerned about the import of Ukrainian poultry

French farmers are concerned about the growing import of poultry from Ukraine. They claim that this threatens their existence.

In a letter to the HEAD of the country's Foreign Ministry, Stephane Sejournet, member of the French National Assembly Mathilde Paris stated that from January to March 2023, imports of Ukrainian poultry increased by 201%, amounting to 25 thousand tons per month. This deprived European manufacturers of a corresponding market share.

Pari also stated that the MEAT supplied from Ukraine does not comply with agricultural standards and values ​​​​in force in the European Union. This is reflected in the price and quality of the product.

Farmers are demanding that the French government take action to protect their interests. They propose introducing duties on the import of Ukrainian poultry or banning it altogether.
