FGBI "ARRIAH" took part in the extended meeting of the Board of Directors of the Russian Poultry Union

On July 15 of this year, an expanded meeting of the Board of Directors of the Russian Poultry Union was held, in which 53 poultry farms took part. 

The President of the Union, Academician Vladimir Fisinin opened the meeting and drew attention to the current problems of the industry during the CORONAVIRUS pandemic. DIRECTOR General of Rosptitsesoyuz Galina Bobyleva made a presentation on the economic indicators of poultry farming and assessed the main problems associated with the growth in the cost of poultry products, and suggested solutions. During the difficult situation with highly pathogenic influenza in the world and the migratory activity of wild waterfowl migratory birds, special emphasis was placed on the role of biological protection of closed-type poultry farms and the prevention of the introduction of a particularly dangerous disease into the agricultural bird population.

Mikhail Volkov, HEAD of the Laboratory of Epizootology and Monitoring, and Andrey Varkentin, Head of the IAC Sector, took part in the Council from the Federal Center for Animal HEALTH, subordinate to ROSSELKHOZNADZOR. Mikhail Volkov presented the report “Current epizootic situation of avian influenza in the world and RUSSIA. New trends in the fight against avian influenza”. The heads of poultry enterprises were provided with up-to-date information on the situation with avian influenza, the main threats and risks for industrial facilities, as well as new requirements for the prevention and control of a particularly dangerous disease.
