Damate has opened a turkey deep processing plant in the Penza region, the company's press service reported. The plant's capacity will be 303 tons per day. The amount of investments is 9 billion rubles. According to the company, this is the first automated solution for storage, picking and shipping to customers in the Russian food industry. There are five workshops at the enterprise: the production of ham products and sous-vides, the production of boiled sausages, the workshop for the production of dry-cured sausages, ready-made semi-finished products and a robotic warehouse for products. The new plant has 13 automated production lines. The product range includes about 100 positions and consists entirely of turkey MEAT.
Damate plans that the products of deep processing will be sold through federal distribution throughout the country. In addition, the company has already started exporting sausages, with Armenia and Uzbekistan among the first buyers. In the nearest plans of "Damate" - expansion of the geography of deliveries to the countries of near and far abroad, now there is a consideration of applications and negotiations with customers.
Almost half of the country's turkey is produced in the Penza region, Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev noted at the opening of the plant. Damate has been present in the region for a long time and develops poultry farming and poultry meat processing here. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rosselkhozbank Boris Listov recalled that since 2012, turkey consumption in RUSSIA has been growing at an average rate of 16% per year, and in 2020 amounted to about 330 thousand tons, that is, more than 2 kg per person. Patrushev added that the Ministry of Agriculture pays great attention to the development of poultry farming and poultry meat processing, constantly improving the state support system. The minister appreciated the positive experience of the Penza region in implementing regional support measures, which, together with federal subsidies, creates the foundation for the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex.
