Chuvashia is increasing the genetic potential of meat cattle - Sergey Frolov

The issues of improving the genetic potential of beef cattle within the framework of the implementation of the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Agriculture for 2017-2025 were discussed today in the videoconferencing mode with Dmitry Butusov, DIRECTOR of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA, and colleagues from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic Sergey Frolov following a video conference, writes with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

Sergey Ruslanovich explained that potential participants in the competitive selection for participation in the program were given recommendations by the experts of the federal ministry on the preparation of scientific and technical projects.

«Чувашскую Республику в данном проекте представляет Агрофирма «Атлашевская», наш племенной репродуктор по разведению крупного рогатого скота герефордской породы, который из года в год наращивает поголовье и объемы производства мяса», - подчеркнул Сергей Русланович.

По словам замминистра производство говядины в республике традиционно базируется на использовании откормочного поголовья пород молочного и молочно-мясного направления, как сопутствующая подотрасль при производстве молока.

«Однако в последние годы наметилась тенденция наращивания поголовья крупного рогатого скота мясных пород. Сегодня разведением крупного рогатого скота мясных пород занимаются 4 сельхозорганизации и 7 фермерских хозяйств», - отметил Сергей Фролов.

Для дальнейшего развития животноводческим хозяйствам республики предоставляется поддержка государства по 5 направлениям:

subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of supporting own MILK production; subsidies for reimbursement of part of the costs for ensuring the growth of own milk production; subsidies for the development of animal husbandry (including for the maintenance of breeding breeding and commercial livestock of cattle for MEAT production); subsidies for reimbursement of part of the costs for the construction and modernization of agricultural facilities; subsidies for the development of an agro-startup and family farmers involved in breeding agricultural animals; subsidies to reimburse part of the cost of paying interest on investment and short-term loans.
