PJSC Cherkizovo Group will allocate 11.5 billion rubles for the implementation of an investment project to create a poultry cluster in the Altai Territory, TASS reports citing the press service of the regional government.

At the moment, the amount of investments has exceeded 1 billion rubles, until 2025 it will be increased by at least 2.5 billion rubles. The project will be implemented in two stages.

At the first stage, the Biysk branch of JSC "Kurinoe Tsarstvo" - the company "Altai Broiler" - will build six additional buildings for fattening poultry in the vicinity of the regional center Zonalnoe. In connection with the increase in livestock, the capacity of the feed mill and MEAT processing assets will be increased, where shops for the production of minced meat and cutlets will be opened. After the transformation, which should be completed in 2023, the volume of production will increase to 86 thousand tons (+14 thousand tons) per year.

At the second stage, the construction of 24 poultry houses on two sites (12 on each site) will be launched, which will ensure an increase in production up to 110 thousand tons from the beginning of 2025.

The cluster is being created on the basis of a cooperation agreement between PJSC Cherkizovo Group and the government of the Altai Territory, concluded in June 2019, which marked the holding's entry into the market of the Siberian Federal District. A year earlier, Altaisky Broiler, the largest poultry farm in the region, became the property of the Cherkizovo subsidiary. Initially, the amount of the agreement was 2.6 billion rubles.

In July 2021, the assets of Altaisky Broiler CJSC were badly damaged by a fire. The enterprise resumed operations only in October after a large-scale reconstruction, which required 1 billion additional costs. Investment projects of Cherkizovo in the Altai Territory are systematically developing, taking into account the situation in the domestic and foreign markets.
