The National Union of Agricultural Insurers (NUA) reports that in the first half of 2022, the rating of regions that insured livestock of farm animals with state support was headed by the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions with accrued premiums of 172 million, 137 million and 132 million rubles, respectively.

The Bryansk region insured 9.7 million units of industrial poultry, 401,000 HEAD of cattle and 346,000 pigs. In the Kursk region, the main share falls on pig breeding (1.6 million heads). In the Belgorod Region, 13.3 million poultry, 1.5 million pigs and 700 cattle were insured over six months.

The TOP-3 insurers in the livestock industry are followed by three other regions of the Central Black Earth Economic Region: Voronezh, Lipetsk and Oryol.

According to NSA President Korney Bizhdov, the distribution of positions looks quite logical: first of all, the management of livestock companies is trying to minimize financial risks from outbreaks of zoonoses. In particular, last year there were several outbreaks of African swine fever in the Belgorod region.
