For the year, chicken MEAT sales reached 800.1 thousand tons, which is 10.6% higher than the total sales for the first two months of 2022, which amounted to 723.7 thousand tons.
As a result, Brazilian chicken sales in the first two months of this year reached $1.593 billion, up 24.5% from the 2022 total of $1.280 billion.
Brazil's main EXPORT destination is CHINA, which imported 111.7 thousand tons in the first two months of this year, which is 23.2% higher than in the same period in 2022, or 90.6 thousand tons. Returning to second place, Saudi Arabia imported 62.4 thousand tons this year, Japan - 60.7 thousand tons (+10%) and the European Union - 40.1 thousand tons (+15.8%).
“International demand for Brazilian products continues to grow, with periodic changes offset by increased purchases from other importing countries. This year, we are seeing traditional markets such as China and the European Union once again take the lead in the performance of chicken meat supplies from Brazil, indicating a trend in purchasing behavior that should continue throughout 2023,” the president analyzes.
