These figures support ABPA's forecasts for record shipments in 2023 of more than 5 million tonnes. This trend is encouraging and creates positive expectations for the next year for the Brazilian chicken industry.

CHINA continues to be the main consumer of Brazilian chicken, with purchases up 31% year-on-year. Saudi Arabia , South Africa, South Korea and Mexico also significantly increased their purchases, showing increases in volumes ranging from 5% to 25%.

Within Brazil, the state of Paraná is the main exporter of chicken MEAT, with EXPORT volumes increasing by 9.6% compared to last year. Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Sao Paulo and Goiás also show positive dynamics in chicken exports.
